COLUMBUS, Ind. (WDRD) — A search is underway after an 11-year-old girl went missing in the East Fork White River Tuesday evening.
At approximately 6:39 p.m., first responders from the Columbus Police Department, Columbus Fire Department and Bartholomew County Water Rescue Team were called to Mill Race Park for a report of a missing child who went underwater and did not resurface.
Responders were given a last known location and deployed multiple boats to search the area, including downstream portions of the river.
The search is ongoing.
