Missing 8-year-old girl found dead

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – An 8-year-old Ballard County girl has been found dead.

That's according to a news release from Kentucky State Police.

Skyleigh Pool was reported missing from her home on County Farm Road at 6 p.m. eastern time July 29.

According to the news release, searchers from numerous agencies and states looked for Skyleigh throughout the night.

Here body was found around 8 a.m. Thursday in a pond about a quarter-mile from her residence.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2015 in Louisville.

No foul play is suspected at this time.
