LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 26-year-old from Louisville was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on Interstate 71 approaching Crestwood, Kentucky.
According to Oldham County Police Chief Greg Smith, a van rear-ended a semitruck just before 7 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate.
The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Benjamin R. Nystuen, 26, of Louisville.
Police said the crash closed a portion of I-71 until 12:18 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators are asking anyone who saw or has information about the crash to contact them at (502) 222-1300.
