LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Wednesday was moving day for more residents at one of Louisville's public housing complexes.
The Dosker Manor residents were relocated to a new home at H. Temple Spears.
The Louisville Metro Housing Authority is working to relocate all residents after the building fell into disrepair.
LMHA hopes to have everyone relocated by the end of the year.
The team at LMHA has been in communication with the residents throughout the relocation process.
"We understand that relocation is hard, going into a new environment, every step of the way when they relocate, we're still with them, communicating with them, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed," LMHA spokesperson Jailen Leavell said.
The Dosker Manor site will be demolished once all residents are moved out. Once new housing is built, residents will have the opportunity to relocate. However the demolition process is still a few years out.
