LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 47-year-man died in a motorcycle crash Monday afternoon in Hardin County, according to police.

Hardin County sheriff's deputies responded to a crash in the 2600 block of Hardinsburg Road in Cecilia after a two-vehicle crash. 

Joseph Poddom, of Eastview, was traveling west on KY 86 on a motorcycle when he tried to pass a vehicle that was also traveling west. As Poddom tried to pass the other vehicle, it started to make a left-hand turn.

The motorcycle hit the rear driver's side of the vehicle.

Poddom was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries from the crash. An 83-year-old Cecilia woman, who was driving the other vehicle, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
