LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- All northbound lanes of the Snyder Freeway near U.S. 42 were shut down after a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.

It happened around 7:30 a.m., at mile marker 36, approaching the U.S. 42 Prospect exit, according to the TRIMARC traffic website. An image from TRIMARC showed crews working to clear the crash that involved five vehicles.

One person was taken to the hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to a news release from Louisville police. Anchorage Middletown Fire and EMS joined LMPD officers at the scene.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.

The far-right hand lane was reopened around 9 a.m. to allow some traffic to flow, but expect delays in that area due to the backup of traffic.

Drivers take an alternate route if possible.
