LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 600 pages of court records list the details of the investigation that led to the arrest of former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, and those documents indicate Noel had financial transactions with at least a dozen banks.
On Thursday, the court unsealed more than 600 pages of details into Noel's arrest. He was arrested on on Nov. 8 on 15 felony charges of theft, ghost employment and corruption.
The records WDRB received include several search warrants and subpoenas accumulated during the nearly year-long investigation into the former sheriff. Investigators found and seized thousands of dollars in cash while serving search warrants at Noel's home, including $6,000 inside a vehicle and more than $50,000 in a dresser drawer.

Those court documents include subpoenas for records from at least 12 banks, a local lumber company, and Humana -- which issued a check for $35,000. Those documents also list Noel's family members and include a subpoena for his child support records.
During the investigation state police interviewed several employees who worked for Noel. They described doing maintenance work at Noel's various properties while they were on the clock for the jail -- or sheriff's department.
Court documents indicate one employee said Noel asked him to work extra hours and expected Noel to pay him directly; instead, his checks came from the Utica Fire Department, where Noel served as chief.
One worker shared nearly 6,000 photos, hundreds of videos and years of text messages between himself and Noel about buying and selling cars. He also had photos of a Clark County Sheriff's Office credit card he said Noel gave him to buy parts for the cars.
Noel is also the CEO of New Chapel Fire and EMS.
The search was part of an investigation requested by current Clark County Sheriff Scottie Maples, who served as deputy chief under Noel for several years.
Noel is free after posting $75,000 bond with three conditions: He can't leave the State of Indiana, he had to surrender his passport, and surrender all firearms except for one shotgun "for personal protection."
Noel is due back in court in January.
