LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Ohio family is suing Caesars after a woman died at the company's southern Indiana casino.
Michelle Kelley died at the casino on March 28. The lawsuit claims the casino served her 17 drinks the night before she died, even after she was drunk.
According to the lawsuit, Kelley's blood alcohol level was .222, nearly three times the legal limit. She was a resident of Westerville.
Indiana's Dram Shop Act holds providers liable for injuries or death if they serve someone who is already drunk. Caesars Entertainment told WDRB News they are unable to comment on the pending lawsuit.
