LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Free Saturday parking in downtown Louisville is now a thing of the past.
Paying on Saturdays is law, but hasn't really been enforced.
Warnings have been handed out to drivers about the change since July.
Starting next weekend, Sept. 6, two PARC officers will hand out tickets at any meter in the city, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Since parking rates went up, it now costs $1.50 per hour to park at a meter in Louisville.
