LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Shively on Monday.

Det. Sgt. Jordan Brown, a spokesperson for the Shively Police Department, said officers were called to the 1900 block of Rockford Lane around 8:50 p.m. on a reported shooting. That's off Dixie Highway near Gagel Avenue and the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.

Once on scene, police found a man believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s who had been shot. 

Brown said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Shively Police Department is investigating, but there are no known suspects and have been no arrests.
