LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Improvements are coming to US 42 in Louisville, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet wants the public's opinion before plans are drawn.
Officials said there will soon be traffic flow changes between Brownsboro Road and Frankfort Avenue, specifically Mellwood Avenue and Story Avenue. Some areas that are currently one-way streets will become two-way, an effort to improve safety in the area. Those conversions are planned for:
- Story Avenue from Main Street to Spring Street
- Mellwood Avenue from Baxter Avenue to Spring Street
Additionally, safety changes will be made on Story Avenue from Brownsboro Road to Frankfort Avenue.
A public meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Butchertown Market to gather input on roadway configuration plans.
