LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Sellersburg man was found guilty of murder of his wife by a Clark County jury Tuesday.
Mac Lewis was accused of killing his wife, Elizabeth Bennett Lewis, in front of her daughter. A jury returned a guilty verdict Tuesday afternoon on charges of murder, attempted murder and three counts criminal recklessness.
After around three hours of deliberation, the jury found Lewis guilty on all five counts. He's scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 1.

Last week, jurors heard from the first officers on the scene as Wednesday was day two of the murder trial at the Clark County Courthouse.
On Monday, the jury heard from the victim's daughter and a friend who were in the home at the time of the murder. Police said the child was distraught, and her hands were covered with her mother's blood at a crime scene in southern Indiana. They also watched a video of the suspect being questioned by police.
During opening statements, prosecutors described how the victim's 11-year-old daughter witnessed her mother's murder and called 911.
The killing happened last April inside their home in Sellersburg. Lewis shot and killed his wife, then shot at his 11-year-old stepdaughter. The family of Elizabeth Bennett Lewis said they were pleased with the outcome, but they aren't celebrating it.
"There's not a whole hell of a lot of happiness today in our hearts because there is one person not standing with us," Tony Bennett, the father of Elizabeth Bennett Lewis, said. "Because they'll never have her back, we will never have her back and that's the most unfair thing about this. While today we are pleased with the outcome, we are always going to grieve the loss of a beautiful life due to a senseless act of violence."
The defense claimed Lewis was threatening to kill himself, but the jury found him guilty of all the charges against him.
His attorney tried to argue the murder charge down to reckless homicide.
"Mac is looking at a whole lot more time than he would have had they made the decision that I told them I thought was probable," said Lewis' attorney, Mitchele Harlan.
