LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than two dozen firefighters responded as flames tore through a home in Shively early Thursday.
It happened just before 1:15 a.m., according to a post on Shively Fire & Rescue's Facebook page.
Crews from Shively Fire and Rescue, the Louisville Fire Department, and Pleasure Ridge Park Fire District were sent to a 1.5-story home on fire in the 1800 block of Ralph Avenue.
Crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames. The fire caused extensive damage, but nearby properties received minimal damage. It took 25 firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the flames. No one was found inside, and no injuries have been reported.
Louisville Fire Department's arson unit is working to determine the cause of the fire.
