LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Dozens of tow trucks lined up down the interstate Thursday for the funeral of the founder of a local towing company.
Irvin Johns, the CEO of Suburban Towing, died last week. On Thursday, tow trucks from different companies and other states joined in on a procession from Kingdom Life Church in Sellersburg to Suburban Towing on Industrial Boulevard in Louisville.
The procession traveled down Interstate 65 south for much of the trip.
Johns, 80, started the company in 1969. Suburban Towing was the company called in to pull the dangling semi back onto 2nd Street Bridge in March.
