LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A well-known Jeffersontown resident with a loving personality died this week.
Eddie Craven, known locally as "Meatball," died Monday from complications due to colon cancer, Jeffersontown Mayor Carol Pike's Office confirmed Wednesday.
"Our city of Jeffersontown is paying heartfelt tribute to one of its most beloved citizens, a man whose unwavering optimism and kindness inspired countless lives," Pike posted on Facebook. "He was the epitome of joy and positivity, spreading love and warmth wherever he went, earning him the nickname Jtown. For those fortunate enough to have known Eddie throughout the years, his presence was a guarantee of a brighter day, his smile and encouraging words uplifting everyone around him. As he cycled through the streets, his infectious positivity touched hearts, and his unwavering support inspired dreams. He was a shining example of community spirit."
Funeral arrangements are currently being made. A procession through Jeffersontown will be planned.
WDRB News featured Eddie Craven and his brother, Alan, who is known as "Spaghetti," when they received banners in Jeffersontown. The brothers were known for riding their bicycles and positive attitudes.
