LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- If you notice drones above Louisville this week, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said not to worry.
The agency's fifth district, which covers the Louisville area, shared a photo on Facebook this week taken by one of its drones.
Throughout the week, KYTC said you may see the drones flying over Louisville's highways at night to help enhance bridge inspections.
KYTC said the drones can take thermal images that help engineers get an up-close look at areas without impacting traffic.
Authorities have been notified in advance. KYTC said to "keep an eye out and enjoy the view."
