The performance, titled "502," is being choreographed by Ching Ching Wong to music from the Louisville native.
The community favorite ballet kicks off this Friday, Dec. 9, at the Kentucky Center.
The first storytime is set for 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday at the South Central Regional Library.
The Ballet hosted an open house to kick-off the season.
Theatergoers will be required to show proof of vaccination or have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of performance time.
Many hope a virtual format will allow for family members and friends from out of town to tune into the shows.
The family favorite "The Nutcracker" can be seen virtually Dec. 7 through Dec. 15.

The production will include hip-hop and bolder dance moves.
A $1 million gift was given to the Louisville Ballet, but the donor wants to be kept a secret. It's the largest gift from an individual in the 64 year history of the Louisville Ballet.
