Those rolling road blocks will start between 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, and then are scheduled to take place again around the same time on Thursday and Friday.
Crews will perform regular blasting along I-71 North just south of the northbound rest area near Crestwood.
Rolling traffic stops will be in effect for both northbound and southbound lanes.
The long-running I-Move Kentucky construction project on Louisville area interstates is expected to be complete next spring.
Blasting is finished at the New VA hospital site.
According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District, blasting will remain on hold until the contractor of the project has demonstrated to the government that appropriate safety measures are in place.
Work stopped Tuesday after blasting sent rocks and sediment onto the Watterson Expressway and nearby homes.
A letter sent out Thursday said that blasting at the Brownsboro Road location will start on Dec. 1 and is expected to continue for five to six months.
