Louisville's police chief is reiterating the purpose of the city's mask mandate.
A mask-optional protocol will go into place later this month.
In addition, daily health screens will come to an end Feb. 28, except for employees in California, New York and Virginia, the company said.
The committee voted 5-2 to declare the regulation “deficient.”
The board plans to discuss an emergency regulation Thursday morning.

President Eli Capilouto announced the policy on Friday for students, faculty and staff.
The order will take effect on Friday for students in public, private and charter schools in Floyd County.
According to the zoo’s website, masks will be required inside all public building including Gorilla Forest, the Islands, HerpAquarium, MetaZoo, African Outpost and the Zoo’s gift shops.
New recommendations were released Thursday by health officials in Clark and Floyd counties.
