Jacob T. McClanahan died when he stopped to help a stranded driver, who shot him with a shotgun before being shot and killed by police.

On Wednesday evening, family, friends, and dozens of first responders from the region attended the visitation for Tom Petschke, a 10-year veteran of the Ballardsville Fire Department.
