Dr. Katy Hopkins with Norton Children's Hospital stopped by WDRB Mornings Monday to give parents some tips for dealing with an anxious child. 

The morning started with early car riders, all eager and anxious to start their day.

Students and teachers made their way back to school and back into their routines.

The backpacks were stuffed with notebooks, folders, pens, pencils and other supplies students need. 

The hot topic of the summer has been transportation, and the district has made strides in fixing the issues.

Three new JCPS schools welcomed students for the first time Wednesday. 

Many of them started on Wednesday, but many Catholic schools have already had their first day.

Some routes could face delays up to 90 minutes.
