Louisville has seen a steady increase in flu cases, with nearly 940 cases reported since the end of September.Â
The Louisville health department reports more than 700 flu cases since September.
Officials said neither child had been immunized against the viruses that caused their deaths.
RSV is running rampant in Kentucky, infecting infants, kids and adults in record numbers.

Flu shots will be available through Norton starting Sept. 5.
While flu cases ramp up, Norton doctors said RSV cases are starting to level off in Louisville.

Vaccines are available across UofL Health's facilities, including at the Urgent Care Plus in the Parkland neighborhood.
According to the agency, 82 Indiana residents died in the 2021-22 season. Residents are encouraged to get the flu vaccine.
