Tyler Bright stopped to fill up his car and was left with a life-changing injury.

A 31-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison for a June 2023 fatal shooting in downtown Louisville.

The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. on South 28th Street. 

A 15-year-old teen boy was arrested in connection to a double shooting in Louisville's Jacobs neighborhood.

Jarrett Dennis, 36, is being charged with second-degree assault after he allegedly shot another man in the leg on West Chestnut Street, the citation says.

When police arrived on scene, they found male, whose age isn't known at this time, with a gunshot wound. 

Detectives are working to learn what led up to the shooting and what a possible motive could be.

The shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway around 2:30 a.m.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 900 block of South 36th Street just after 4:30 a.m.
