The Kentucky Festival unveiled the map for the 2024 GE Appliances miniMarathon and Marathon, announcing the race's return to south Louisville for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic modified the route.
GE Appliances donated a full kitchen for students at Central High School who are blind or have low vision.
GE also donated appliances to VIPS' Louisville and Indianapolis locations, where families can come for help or counseling.
The company employs more than 7,000 people in Louisville.
About 4,100 rank-and-file workers at Louisvilleās GE Appliance Park will get $1,500 bonuses in early December if they ratify the latest proposed labor contract between GE Appliances and their union, IUE-CWA Local 83-761.
In the meantime, appliance stores are working to help customers out and asking for their patience.
Hundreds of workers have already cast their votes in the drive-thru setup to keep everyone socially distanced.
