Louisville Police are investigating after two people died after a shooting in the Newburg neighborhood.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating. Ellis said investigators believe "all parties" are accounted for.
A man is dead after being found shot in a car in southwest Louisville Saturday.
Louisville Metro Police said officers responded around 10:43 p.m. Wednesday to the 1000 block of S. 29th Street on a reported shooting, department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but have no suspects and have made no arrests.
Police said in an update Thursday "all parties to this incident are now accounted for."
The juvenile was taken to UofL Hospital where he died.
Community leaders attribute the downward trend to increased police presence and neighborhood outreach efforts.
Officer Michael Wehdah, 44, was found shot to death in the 2700 block of Cedar Street in the city's Russell neighborhood Sunday morning.
LMPD arrested 20-year-old Damari Walls-Medlock on Thursday.
