A man was arrested, accused of damaging a Kentucky Senate candidate's campaign headquarters in Lexington.
Tilley filed a defamation lawsuit in Fayette Circuit Court against Lexington Police Sgt. Markell Heyward, claiming the officer misled and lied to the court and grand jury about facts of the case and Tilley’s character.
Defense attorneys Steve Schroering and Chris Spedding argued that Tilley and the woman had been drinking and had consensual sex, and Tilley should never have ben charged.
He reportedly told detectives he had sex with the minor at her home, his home and at LexCity Church, where he was a former executive pastor.
Police and medical professionals urged parents to have a conversation with their children.
Steve Sheangshang, 45, was arrested last week for allegedly shooting and killing a 35-year-old Scott County Sheriff's Deputy Caleb Conley on Interstate 75.
The unidentified woman says she woke up the next morning unclothed in a hotel room “with no memory of how she arrived there,” a police affidavit states.
The suspect is in critical condition.
Lexington police issued a nationwide press release including “fabricated allegations” against the players.
Police say they expect to file charges.
