Officers believe one of the vehicles was traveling on I-264 near the Dumesnil Street and Virginia Avenue off ramp when it was side-swiped by a wrong-way driver.
It happened around 12:15 Monday afternoon in the area of 17th and Garland.
The man was rushed to University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
