A mosquito trapped in Clark County tested positive for the virus, the Clark County Health Department confirmed in a Facebook post Friday. 

Residents are being warned to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

The health department plans to conduct mosquito control in Irish Hill, NuLu and around Iroquois Park. 

Symptoms of the virus include fever, headache, body aches and rash.

No confirmed human cases have been reported this year in Jefferson County.

A group of mosquitos carrying the West Nile Virus was found earlier this month in New Albany, Indiana, state health officials said Thursday.
