LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Samples of craft beers from around the state are on tap at the third annual Beerfest at the Kentucky State Fair.
Hop Atomica is one of 24 breweries that will be participating, and owner Paul Barrier, along with Lexie Ratterman with Kentucky Venues, joined WDRB Mornings on Monday to give us a preview.
Beerfest is for guests 21 and older with a valid ID, and an additional ticket is required. Tickets are $35 at the door with VIP and add-on options available. Tickets purchased online cost $30, and, this year, the ticket includes admission to the fair and parking.

Barrier said Hopatomic has 24 selections of beer on tap, and "this year, we're going to have four different beers" at Beerfest. He added "those beers are to be determined a little bit closer to the day, but you're going to get something light, probably a sour coming out with us."

Ratterman said there will be some new exciting new food choices on the menu this year.
"We have a new vendor coming in: Farm Boy, Farm Boy American Fair out of Danville," Ratterman said. "He's going to be bringing in an ostrich burger one day only. You'll have to check out our social media on which day that is, because they were still tossing up ideas on which day they want to bring that."
For those who like it hot, Ratterman said they're going to have a flaming hot Cheeto corn dog.
Beerfest is from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Expo Center.
