LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- School is almost out for the summer, and, once again, the city of Louisville is offering free passes for kids' activities.
The 2024 Cultural Pass and Summer Reading program gives children 21 and under the chance to visit about 40 art and cultural places in southern Indiana and Louisville for free from June 1 to Aug. 4. Some places include the Kentucky Science Center, Louisville Zoo, the Falls of the Ohio State Park and the Speed Art Museum.
The pass is available to people in Jefferson, Bullitt and Oldham counties in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties in Indiana.
To help people with transportation, TARC is offering a limited number of passes for rides to Cultural Pass holders.
You can register for the Cultural Pass at your local library.
In addition to the Cultural Pass, people in Jefferson County, Kentucky, can sign up for the free 10-week Summer Reading program at the Louisville Free Public Library. Participants who complete the program will receive a library backpack, and passes to local attractions like Louisville Bats, Racing Louisville FC, Raising Cane's and Ehrler's.Â
There will be a big party on June 1 at the Louisville Free Public Library's Main Branch.Â
