LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Humane Society is encouraging people to become foster caregivers for dogs and cats.
The local nonprofit hosted a Foster Open House at 241 Steedly Drive on Saturday. The event was free and provided foster caregivers the necessary supplies like food, crates, medical care and 24/7 support.
Foster placements can last as long as a week or a month. Kentucky Humane Society said it will work around vacation schedules.
