LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) ā Some of the best chefs in Louisville showcased some of their best dishes Sunday afternoon.Ā
The Louisville Black Chef Showcase ā Fall Harvest Edition was held at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center in the Russell neighborhood.
The event celebrates culinary talent in Louisville from Black chefs, caterers, and food entrepreneurs.
More than 400 guests could sample dishes, vote for their favorites, and listen to live music.
"We also have a lot more vendors, and we have added in some Black farmers as well to try and bridge the gap between the farmers and chefs and create a better experience for all the patrons," Henry Wesley, showcase creator, said.
Proceeds for the event benefited local causes like the Louisville Urban League and Western High School's culinary program.
