LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new viewing room is now open at the Hope and Haven Equine Arena.

The 8,400-square-foot arena is on the campus of Boys & Girls Haven on Goldsmith Lane, according to a news release Tuesday. The Hope and Haven Arena program provides horse-assisted therapy services for youth in foster care and as well as the community.

The indoor arena was completed in 2023 and now features a dedicated viewing room that gives the program a climate-controlled welcoming space that was made possible thanks to funding from the FourEvergreen Foundation, according to a news release.

The viewing room will allow family members, therapists and guests to observe the sessions without disrupting the therapy, which can now continue year-round. It also serves as a place for group instruction and "grow support for Boys & Girls Haven's mission: to shelter, heal, and empower youth while supporting the individuals and families who care for them."

Boys & Girls Haven is a private nonprofit that has provided foster care, counseling, transitional programs, and animal-assisted therapy. It has been serving the Louisville community since 1948.
