Louisville's Waverly Hills hiring scare actors for upcoming 2025 season

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Have you ever wanted to scare people and get paid for it?

Now is your chance. Louisville's Waverly Hills Sanitorium is hiring scare actors for the 2025 season.

The first round of auditions will be held July 12 from 12-3 p.m. at the sanitorium located at 4400 Paralee Drive. A second round of auditions will be held Aug. 2, also from 12-3 p.m.

There are limited spots available for the gig.

You must be 18 or older, have reliable transportation to and from work, and be available every Friday and Saturday during the season. Experience is not required.

Considered one of the most haunted places in the country, Waverly Hills was built in the early 1900s due to the tuberculosis outbreak.

Since closing its doors in 1961, the hospital has attracted people worldwide who have an interest in the paranormal.

The sanitorium also hosts ghost walks and a seasonal haunted house.
