Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said the bridge, the main interstate route between Cincinnati and northern Kentucky, will be closed for at least several days while inspectors survey the damage.
On Friday, U.S. Transportation Cabinet Secretary Elaine Chao announced that the transportation department has $12 million dollars in funds to help repair the bridge.
