The teen faces 33 counts of wanton endangerment 1st degree and one count of possession of a handgun by a minor.
Louisville police say there were no injuries, but school children were able to hear the gunshots near downtown.
Louisville Metro Police said the suspect is a 15-year-old who allegedly had an "exchange of gunfire" with the other suspect near 10th and Chestnut Street on Aug. 7.
