The shooting happened in the 2500 block of Montgomery Street just before 10 p.m. Thursday.
Louisville Metro Police reported 15 homicides in June, along with 36 victims wounded by gunshots.
A 17-year-old man was identified Wednesday as the victim of a fatal shooting last month in the Portland neighborhood.
