Monuments to Peter Grignon and Deidre Mengedoht

The monuments were unveiled outside the department's Second Division offices, where both officers — Officer Peter Grignon and Detective Deidre Mengedoht — served and made the ultimate sacrifice.
Mengedoht was killed in the line of duty on Christmas Eve 2018 in a fiery crash on Interstate 64 near the Belvedere.Â
Grignon is survived by his wife, parents and a brother.Â
