LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS officials battled a house fire in east Louisville just before midnight on Wednesday.
According to a news release, Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS units along with Jeffersontown Fire & EMS were called to the 1400 block of Whisperwood Trace on a report of a residential structure fire.
When they arrived, heavy fire could be seen coming from the back of the house.
It took 31 firefighters around an hour to control the blaze. No injuries were reported from inside the house, and three firefighters were evaluated on scene for heat exhaustion and an ankle injury, according to the release.
Officials believe the fire started on the rear deck of the house.
