LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- If you are starting to feel like its impossible to keep up with all the scams out there, you might be right!
A new survey recently found that 96% of Americans are targeted by a scam call, email, or text every week. Most are emails, followed by phone calls and text messages.
Among the top scams right now are highway toll and ticket scams, claiming that you owe money, followed by shipping notifications about a problem with your recent Amazon shipment.
The most frightening are phone calls from people claiming to be your son, daughter, or grandson saying they are in trouble and need money.
The rise of AI and voice cloning means you can expect more of these in the future, so all you can do is be aware the next time your phone rings.
