LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A popular Louisville music venue that's future was up in the air now has a new owner.

Headliners Music Hall posted on social media Saturday that it has a new owner after 15 years.

John Peters and Mass Concerts will now own and operate the music venue.

Headliners has brought popular music acts from around the world for the last 27 years.

The now-former owners Joe Argabrite and Billy Hardison were looking for someone to come in and keep the music going at Headliners so they could focus on their other ventures, like productions at Iroquois Amphitheater and Events at Waterfront Park. In the social media post, they said they aren't going far and still plan to bring old and new music to Louisville.

"We are proud of what we have accomplished and feel we have properly honored the legacy of this 27 year old internationally renowned independent venue," Argabrite and Hardison said in a statement. "We know that we're leaving our beloved venue and team in good hands."
