LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Tariffs are no longer just a distant threat. While some are being delayed, others are now starting to kick in on many products that we buy.
President Trump just enforced tariffs on products imported from Canada, Mexico, and China, and many business managers are worried on how much tariffs will impact their sales in the coming weeks.
While managers are worried about their sales, shoppers are worried about their wallets.
When you hear about Mexican tariffs, one of the first things that may come to mind is Modelo and Corona beer. Unfortunately, that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to food items that may be affected.
Besides Mexican beer and tequila, tariffs will also hit avocados and guacamole.
From Canada, you're looking at impacts on maple syrup, Canadian oil and lumber, and Canadian whiskey. Car parts, electronics, and nearly everything that is made in China will feel the impacts also.
For now, many companies are trying to hold off on the price hikes, but they can only hold on for so long.
