LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two properties on East Kentucky Street in Louisville's Shelby Park neighborhood were recently purchased for more than $1.55 million.
The sale, according to deeds filed with the Jefferson County Clerk's Office, was  first reported Friday by our partners at Louisville Business First.
The properties — which sit across East Kentucky Street from each other near Logan Street Market — were purchased by a group under the name East Kentucky Lofts Owners LLC.
Dean Wilkinson, a member of the investment group, told Business First the plan is to build two separate apartment complexes.
"We like the area," he said. "We think it's a growth area. The buildings are unique," Wilkinson said. "We like the properties. We think they're good assets and we're going to explore what to do with them now."
