Louisville-based coffee shop expanding to the Highlands

A Louisville-based coffee shop is expanding to the Highlands.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville-based coffee shop is expanding to the Highlands.

Bamboo Coffee & Donuts will open on Harvard Drive in a Douglass Loop shopping plaza, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

The nearly 2,500-square-foot space will combine three former storefronts, including the recently closed Hi-Five Doughnuts and Ethos Gallery.

Bamboo is known for its Southeast Asian-inspired drink menu and handcrafted cake donuts.

The shop's other location is in Northfield on Lime Kiln Lane. The new location is expected to open in early 2026.
