LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More homeowners are staying in Louisville than other big cities in the U.S.
Louisville ranked 12th for the country's top 50 most populous cities for where homeowners stay in their homes. All Star Home used data from the U.S. Census Bureau to analyze the longevity of homeowners in the 300 most populous cities.Â
Almost a third of Louisville residents — 32.0% — have lived in their homes for 14 years or longer. That ranks 25th for all cities and 12th for big cities.
The report also states that 17.1% of Louisville residents have lived in their homes for 24 years or longer. 21.0% of Louisville residents have lived in their homes for two years or less.
The median home value in Louisville is $229,400.Â
