LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Microsoft is experiencing a nationwide outage affecting several of its products Monday.

Downdetector.com reports an outage that began around 9 a.m. EST when business opened and intensified just before noon affecting Outlook, Teams, Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Store.

The problem actually began much earlier, though most people weren't online for the outage to have much effect. The company said just after 4 a.m. that it was investigating an issue.

By noon Monday, Microsoft said its fix has reached about 98% of the "affected environments." Shortly thereafter, the company added that its restarts were progressing slower than it expected and an ETA would be provided as soon as available.

Around 3:30 p.m. the company said it had begun to see "some recovery."

Users are reporting stalled programs and lagged emails.
