LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville is about to get a new music venue.
Gig Louisville is slated to open by early March at 1017 E. Broadway, near Barrett Avenue and the city's Paristown Pointe neighborhood, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.Ā
The venue's managing partner said the goal is to showcase both emerging local talent and established acts in a variety of genres.
"I've been focusing on ways we can adapt to different audiences and different types of music," Lisa Norkus, managing partner, told LBF. "I want to be very adaptable so we can have any type of entertainment up here."
Gig Louisville has capacity for 288 people. The space is split between the music venue and a bar area with a jukebox. The building was previously occupied by Skull Alley and Uncle Slayton's.
LBF reported Dan Borsch, co-owner of Hillcrest Tavern and Burger Girl, is also a co-owner of Gig Louisville.
The venue will be open Tuesday through Sunday and will offer snacks, though a menu is still being finalized.
