LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Venues just unveiled new renderings of its big expansion project at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

The renderings show what the new 350,000-square-foot building is expected to look like once complete.

The building is set to replace Newmarket Hall, which is on the northwest side of the property, attached to the West Wing.

It's designed to host livestock competitions, equine events, sports tournaments, trade shows and conventions.

The $180 million project is expected to be done by the end of next year. After that, the West Wing, West Hall and Pavilion are set to be renovated.
