LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thursday marked 91 years since the 21st Amendment repealed prohibition in the United States.
Old Forester in Kentucky is celebrating the anniversary with a new whisky in its 117 series called Warehouse 1.
The 11-year old bourbon was chosen specifically for the flavors that come from the warehouse's environment. It has been heat cycled since 2013 and chosen from the hottest floors.
"Our 117 series is all about experimentation, and the characteristics of Warehouse 1 make it perfect for this innovative series," Master Taster Melissa Rift said in a news release Thursday.
The limited edition bottle will go for $65, but is already sold out online. According to Old Forester's website, it is available for purchase at the distillery for those participating in a tour through Dec. 12. It is also available at "select Kentucky retailers."
