LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Sunergos Coffee baristas are no longer striking after reaching an agreement with the company.
Under the new agreement, workers can't be fired on an inconsistent or unfair basis. Hourly wages will be raised from $8.25 to $10 an hour.
Also, workers will get additional paid days off for sick time, new child leave and bereavement.
Sunergos union members will vote on the agreement later this week.
Contract negotiations started in January 2023. In June, the chain went on strike for one day, and this most recent strike started on Black Friday and lasted seven days.
The company has five stores in the Louisville area.
